Troomi, a leader in family-focused digital wellness and safety, today announced the appointment of Tyler Leishman, MHA, as Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), a pivotal step in its mission to address the growing mental health crisis among children and adolescents. In his new role, Leishman will lead efforts to advance digital wellness and empower families with innovative solutions designed to support mental wellness.

Nearly half of children facing mental health challenges receive no treatment due to workforce shortages, access barriers, and fragmented care systems. These gaps leave families struggling to manage issues like anxiety, depression, and the effects of excessive screen time on their own. Troomi is committed to addressing these systemic shortcomings by equipping families with tools and resources that foster healthier relationships with technology, prioritize mental wellness, and empower parents to proactively support their children before challenges escalate.

“In my career, I’ve seen the profound challenges posed by the mental health crisis in children, from workforce shortages to outdated care models that cannot keep up with rising demand,” said Tyler Leishman, Chief Strategy Officer at Troomi. “Troomi’s upstream approach—leveraging innovative technology to empower families and provide resources before crises occur—is exactly what we need. It’s a scalable, evidence-based solution that aligns with the best practices I’ve advocated for throughout my career.”

In addition to his new role at Troomi, Leishman currently serves as Vice President, Chief Strategy Officer and Interim Chief Operating Officer at Riley Children’s Health, where he leads strategic and operational initiatives to address pediatric healthcare challenges, including mental and behavioral health. He previously held leadership roles at Children’s Hospital Colorado as Vice President of Strategic Provider Integration and Executive Director of the Pediatric Care Network, aligning providers across a multistate region.

“Troomi’s mission is rooted in the belief that digital wellness is essential to family well-being,” said Bill Brady, CEO of Troomi. “Tyler’s expertise in addressing systemic challenges in pediatric care and his passion for innovation will be pivotal in helping us expand our offerings. His leadership reinforces our commitment to supporting mental health and fostering meaningful family connections.”

Leishman’s appointment underscores Troomi’s position as a digital safety and wellness leader. By pairing flexibility and control with tools designed to support family values, Troomi delivers solutions that resonate with families and parents prioritizing mental health and balanced screen time.
