Caldwell’s experience leading teams at a number of companies specializing in manufacturing will support Sila in its rapid scale and industrialization phase, most notably in the ramp-up of Sila’s production capacity at Sila’s Moses Lake facility, the company’s first auto-scale manufacturing plant in Washington state.

“It’s full-steam ahead with our plant construction in Moses Lake and Lindsay’s experience in the industrial segment will bring valuable expertise as we continue to build a diverse team that excels both in technical R&D and manufacturing innovation,” said Gene Berdichevsky, co-founder and CEO of Sila. “Her track record of success and enthusiasm for our mission will ensure we build a performance-driven workforce that can support our ambitious goals.”

Prior to Sila, Caldwell was VP of Human Resources at Metagenomi, an emerging biotechnology company, where she built the HR function from scratch, implemented key programs, helped secure Best Places to Work in the Bay Area awards for three consecutive years, and prepared the company for IPO. She also held strategic HR roles at Gilead Sciences (US and UK), Arup, and Northrop Grumman, supporting the R&D, engineering, and commercial operations functions.
