Boehm’s Extensive Tech Experience

Brenda has amassed deep industry expertise based on her successful leadership roles at both the executive and board levels with various innovation-focused technology companies, ranging from Fortune 100 leaders including Dell, Cisco, Nortel, Alcatel-Lucent and Nokia to entrepreneurial startups — such as Starent Networks, Tango Networks, Cyphre and Underline Infrastructure. She also served as chief strategy officer for the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA), a standards, policy and advocacy organization for the global communications network industry.

Brenda’s comprehensive experience includes stints as chief executive, divisional management, chief technology, strategy, market development, product and operations leadership, corporate board governance and advisory board positions. As a result of these diverse roles, she has gained insights that enable her to help companies harness innovation, develop global market reach and ensure the most successful operational best practices.

Educated as an engineer, Brenda earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration in computer information systems from the University of Louisiana and a master’s degree in telecommunications engineering from Southern Methodist University. She also holds an advanced computer security certification from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business’ Stanford Executive Program; a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) certification from Carnegie Mellon University’s Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy; and a certificate in artificial intelligence from MIT Sloan Executive Education.
