PPG (NYSE: PPG) today announced that it has been recognized among the “Best Places to Work in Information Technology (IT) in 2025” by Foundry’s Computerworld. It is PPG’s seventh appearance on the prestigious list, which recognizes organizations that challenge their IT staffs while providing great benefits and compensation.

“It’s a great honor to again be recognized for excellence in our Digital IT function,” said Bhaskar Ramachandran, PPG vice president and chief information officer. “It reflects our focus on people development, as well as our commitment to harnessing the power of AI and the cloud environment. Our initiatives for global talent development, clear connection in our work to the business strategy and purpose, as well as a focus on modernizing and digitizing our organization is key to our collective success.”

PPG ranked No.18 among large organizations on the 2025 list, which is compiled based on a comprehensive questionnaire about company offerings in categories such as benefits, career development, future of work, training and retention. In addition, this year’s rankings were reviewed and vetted by a panel of industry experts.

“PPG’s commitment to people development throughout IT has provided its staff with a variety of opportunities, including assignments to special projects for skills development, especially related to AI and the cloud environment,” Ramachandran said. “The team also encourages stretch capabilities, experiences outside of an IT professional’s primary role and mentorship programs within the business.”

“This year’s focus on AI has created demand for new skills in AI, data analytics, and cloud. The good news: Leading companies recognize that these opportunities for business innovation also create new opportunities for internal IT talent,” says Barbara Call, global director of content strategy at Foundry. “Our winning companies are committed to keeping their tech workforce happy and engaged – which means going beyond raises, perks, and promotions to offer opportunities for upskilling and training on cutting-edge and emerging technologies.”
